Hi Friko, just stopping by to say how delightful your blog is. Thanks so much for sharing. I have recently found your blog and am now following you, and will visit often. Please stop by my blog and perhaps you would like to follow me also. Have a wonderful day. Hugs, Chris http://chelencarter-retiredandlovingit.blogspot.ca/
Very cool! Would love to know more about these--they look somewhat pre-columbine. I know, Wordless Wednesday, yes, but... Maybe a follow-up post? Either way, great shot. Guilie @ - Wordless Wed Mar 12 Life In Dogs
Friko, the gargoyle looking at me from the opposite house is friendlier. In fact, one might say, indifferent. Maybe bored. Certainly not as needy as those in your picture. Come to think of it: Your grotesques remind me of a nest of baby swallows waiting for their parents to stuff food down their beaks.
Hi Friko - they do look like gargoyles, yet I'm not sure .. perhaps puppet heads .. certainly curious though and they fit the bill for wordless Wednesday .. cheers Hilary
Very odd.

ReplyDeleteThe stuff nightmares are made of, although the guy on the right has a nice mustashe. Are they dinging or screaming?

Curious. Would not want this in my curiosity box.
ReplyDeleteThey look kind of like zombie heads.
ReplyDeleteHow odd indeed. My guess is they were made to serve some sort of practical purpose?
ReplyDeleteFor whatever bizarre reason, I love this more than I can say.
ReplyDeleteI'm speechless.

The sculptures nightmares are made of!
ReplyDeleteNot sure how I feel about these; I kind of love them but, as Hilary says, they could induce nightmares!
ReplyDeleteI wonder what they are! Puppet heads, maybe? It's the eyes that bother me, popping out like that. I hope you don't have to see this bunch very often.
ReplyDeleteThank you. Love love, Andrew. Bye.
ReplyDeleteCool, weird, and creepy! ;)
ReplyDeleteOkay, those are scary.
