Beautiful snow scenes, but I am not looking forward to when it comes here. A perfect snow for me is one that is melted in one day. It looks like you will have that stuff around for quite awhile.
Looks so mysterious and lovely. I love that 'silence' you get while the snow is falling. As for the hats -- it amazes me to see how many in this country just never ever wear them. My husband will not wear a wooly winter hat. He says he looks ridiculous -- in that supercilious way the British have of disdaining the practical. Instead he dons a brimmed sailing hat -- now tell me, which sounds ridiculous to you? '-)
Quite the snowstorm! Apparently, it even required the shuffling of musicians at a concert in London today that featured the London premiere of Qigang Chen's gorgeous reflect d'un temps disparu (one of the pieces I heard in Wales.) But, I'm glad to report, the show went on & I was able to hear it live on BBC Radio 3. Odd programmatic mix that included Elgar's Overture Cockaigne, Raymond Yiu The London Citizen Exceedingly Injured World premiere, and Haydn Symphony No. 104 in D, 'London.' Anyway, hope you and yours are safe, warm, and dry, and that this comment goes through . . . (I can't begin to explain the contortions-and, as you'll see if the comment does go through, it takes you to my old blog. I love getting out from behind the computer with this new iPad, but this functionality limitation is a real problem. Ah, we'll, where there's a will. . .)

I wanted to say that the photos were more Alberta than Shropshire. I hope you have the boots, mitts and cosy coat to go with the hat!
OMGEEEE!! Did you get the snow....we got some snow but mostly just very very cold, Brrrr...we are wearing hats, gloves, and wrapped in blankets! ha Hugs SueAnn
Beautiful photographs of a beautiful place. Children certainly appreciate the snow. How fortunate you are. Winter here is grey and wet many days, although sometimes the sun shines on the blooming helebore and snowdrops. My Lenten Rose is blooming and I am so thrilled. A few years back I thought it was a goner. Dianne
My daughter texted from UK telling me she got off early on Friday due to the snow! Having lived in Canada she was surprised at all the closures. Lots of beauty when that stuff covers everything in its cloak of white. I also love the quiet that comes with the snow.
We have snow, too, and I shall have to venture out soon to replenish the bird feeders . . . brrr! The children are enjoying it and the air smells so clean.
This looks very cold to me – I am writing this as I watch the sun outdoors in the 60 F (16 C) degree weather. It also seems to me that it is a warm cup of tea weather – I mean drinking it indoors while watching the weather from a distance.
Wonderful photos -- looks as though you are "enjoying" the same weather we are, though you might have a little more snow -- it's just frigid here, with a bit of snow. Keep warm. I wish I could say I'm doing a good job at it, but I'm trying!
