tee hee ... Well done Friko! You've made me smile on this early Monday morning. ... red setter!
If you sit on that chesterfield (Americans probably won't know what that is btw)you might get the word of my word verification: "gonrea" ... my feeble attempt at humour ... groan ...
I love your take on it . You can always come up with just the right one-liner . But , to me , what's truly extraordinary about this photo is , not the sofa on the side of the road , but the complete lack of grafitti . Mind you , that might just be a reflection of the difference between where we live , you and I !
Wonderful, Friko! We always said "chesterfield" when I was young. Now I say "couch" so "the couch to Chesterfield" is perfect! I like the others also. K
No, no Friko. You've got it all wrong. This red couch in the red light district is obviously for Street Sitters as opposed to Street Walkers. Drive-up service. Just another sign of how lazy we've all become.
Oh, Friko! You ARE good! I loved each and every one of your oh so witty captions :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you're having a good day!

I had heard of a chesterfield, but until now I don't think I new what one is. Love your captions, especially the second one, made me laugh... :-)

Thanks so much for the chuckles. I was wondering if the couch was where you sit to wait for divan that takes you to Chesterfield.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great smile to start my day. Now I'll be keeping my eye out here in the U.S. for the couch to Davenport.
ReplyDeleteOh my, you are such a talented woman
ReplyDeletethis was a great way to start my day
smiles...i hate to imagine what would happen to couches left out for bus catchers...they would not last long in my neck of the woods at all...
ReplyDeleteThe sofa looks like it ought to be on one of those Peter Cooke and Dudley Moore sketches. The two of them sitting and observing the world drift by.
ReplyDeleteLiked your play on words.
All very graonworthy, Friko! LOL
ReplyDelete"where you catch the couch to Chesterfield!" I like that one.
ReplyDeleteHa! :)
ReplyDeleteWide smile.

ReplyDeleteyour words are playful.
Hi Friko, I was here earlier and thought I left a message but, I don't see it. Am I growing absent minded?
ReplyDeleteI wish we had red sofas at every bus stop but they would have to be in shelters.
Clever phases from an imaginative soul. Dianne
Is this the road to Red Square?
ReplyDeleteSo good! And riders can wait in comfort.
ReplyDeleteWonderful, and FUNNY!
ReplyDeleteVery humourous captions indeed, i like the last one that really made me smile :-).

Dear Friko.
ReplyDeleteThese witty captions made me laugh--the sofa so small, the imagination so large.
Peace.
At the end of a long, dull Monday, this was just the thing! I like the way your mind works.
ReplyDeleteDelightful and fitting (or should I say sitting?)captions for the photo prompt!
ReplyDeleteYou are good. I especially like the "red setter."
ReplyDeleteAh, a punster!
ReplyDeleteSure it's not going on to Davenport? Friko, these are wonderful. Now I need to explain why I am hooting at this late hour...
ReplyDeleteThank you!
Sofa, So Good?
ReplyDeleteEmpty Chairs, No Table?

ReplyDeletefirst line made me think a red irish setter peed all over this sofa
ReplyDeleteDear Friko: Sweet! Chesterfield! It is a place, like Glouster!! How original! Love to ride the regional bus routes across Merry Ol' England!
