Juggle how I may, at this
juncture no suitable
juxtaposition presents itself. This
jewel of the alphabet has me in a
jam.
Judging by results
J has made a
jesting-stock of me.
Judiciously observed, no
jollification, no
jubilation, not a
jot of
joy can be found in the
jungle that is
J.
Janus and
Jezebel have
joined forces to
jinx and
junk my efforts, and send me to
Jericho.
Jealously
jailers prevent access to the
jamboree of
J,
Jeering
janitors viewing me with
jaundiced eyes send me into a
Jeremiad of woe.
Justly
jaw-fallen I
jettison the
Joker
Juggernaut and
jog my mind in the direction of
K
For months, when I’ve been looking for a subject for a post, I’ve considered continuing with Friko’s personal alphabet. But nothing at all ever jumped at me for the letter J. A jackdaw in peacock’s feathers could have made a better job of it.
J’y suis J’y reste.
Very clever, I like this post. :-)) Have a good day
ReplyDeleteJolly Janie juggles janitors. Those guys get heavy.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
I was going to say...what you have is a juggernaut, but then you used it. Now I will have to think of something else!
ReplyDeleteJinx
ReplyDeleteFriko, how funny is that! Good job.
ReplyDeleteClever girl.
ReplyDeleteI was more than a little surprised that your post was the letter J. Recently I copied and pasted a Word doc into an email and the :) face transfers as a J.
Clearly the muse was demanding that you put SOMETHING down on the white screen!
ReplyDeleteha. may K treat you all the better...no jeers though
ReplyDeletethis was a rather fun jaunt in to the J
Jolly! And another coincidence as I play similar games with "C" tomorrow in a caption!
ReplyDeleteAlways a pleasure, Friko

=^..^= . <3
I'm not sure anyone or anything could have done a better job of it! I'm grinning!
ReplyDeleteYou really did J well, if you ask me. But of course you're not. Jolly good job, Friko! :-)
ReplyDeleteNaaaa, leave that J-ackdaw! It is absolutely perfect, gorgeous and rich - I LOVE it! J-a! :-)
ReplyDeleteClever! Well done.
ReplyDeleteGood job! Hope you don't stay in Jericho too long or those walls will come tumbling down.
ReplyDeleteHunting around for something I vaguely remembered about poetic alphabets, I discover a possible reason for feeling disenchanted with J. We were born too late: it seems people came to think of as a separate letter relatively recently.

Very clever, Friko!
ReplyDeleteI think you made excellent use of the letter J.
ReplyDeleteI certainly couldn't have done it.
I'd like to see what you do with K.
Hi Friko - this is superb .. and such fun to read. Well I certainly couldn't do that either ... I jostled and jellied with J ... but I'd love to see K ... cheers and have a happy weekend as the clocks retire for 24 hours ... Hilary
ReplyDeleteJumpin' Josie that was good, eh. ha,ha I really enjoy this. REALLY :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a smile you've given me this morning. And it's really quite an interesting comparison, to read this in the email which arrived, and then to see it on the page. With poetry (I suppose with prose, too, but less so) page placement is so important. Just like light and shadow, words and the space around them are related. The email seemed a jumble, while this judicious arrangement justified a second read.
ReplyDeleteI am sure you had fun writing this and I had fun reading it as well.
ReplyDeleteOh Friko, this was fun.
ReplyDeleteThe letter J always reminds me of a candy cane. And my sweet brother whose name begins with a J. Good combo.
xo
What fun!
ReplyDeleteYou are so very clever.
A great way to spend a rainy day!
ReplyDeleteMasterful, my friend. Loved it.
ReplyDelete=)
Now that was fun!! ;)
ReplyDeleteJumpin' Jehoshaphat. Just genius.
ReplyDeleteThat conceit could've gotten painful, but it works--because you are so verbally clever. I anxiously await the tribute to "Q"!
ReplyDeleteI don't know. I think you did an excellent job. My 'J' was on juke boxes.
ReplyDeleteI think J is quite a nice letter. My favorite husband's name is Jerry. (I've had 4 of them -- Pete, Willis, Hugh and, at last, Jerry)
ReplyDeleteYou are quite a wordsmith, my jaunty, jesting blog friend.
ReplyDeleteGreat fun to read as I suspect it was to write (justifiably so). You are most clever!
ReplyDeleteJam butties , juniper berries , jelly ... I never stray far from food . You're much more refined !
ReplyDeleteThe joy of words. :)
ReplyDeleteBrilliant.
