okay, this is all very silly. I had very little time, I am knackered from endless gardening, apologies all round. explanations following:
the woman in the picture has one big, one small eye (me too, I am very short-sighted and had a squint in one eye) so no aspersions, if you too suffer the same fate.
1st quote: In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.
2nd quote: a horse, a horse, my kingdom for a horse. The villain, Richard III has his nag arrowed from under him, stumbles around in battle and is about to be soundly thrashed.
ruff: the stiff frilly collar kings and queens wore around their necks in the 16th century.
what's that shiny thing round the woman's neck? could be a ruff? half a ruff? No? okay, have it your way..
I can't not see half the incandescent ruff, now. I like. But definitely needed it explained! Not as sharp as some of the other pencils in your followship. ;)
"She loves us not who on the rack of this ruff world would stretch us longer." (King Lear, sort of . . . ) I thought that to say one of her eyes was only half an eye was just a tad unkind to such a lovely face. But good funning and punning. Thank you
I noticed her eyes too you should see me in pictures its like Quasimodo it doesn't look that bad normally but in a photo *sigh* I have much sympathy for her lol Very amusing =)

Wow! Fantastic!
ha. its all a house of cards...smiles.
I am looking for the ruff, but I am a bit literal. A half ruff will do. Dianne
Okay, I finally got it. Thanks to Richard and a few things my Mom used to say. Dianne
Half a ruff is more than enough, though... LOL
Don't you wonder who this person was before her picture was marked down to 1.99?
Friko, you are an artist with words. And you're also very sly. I think you're wonderful.

I am in the dark! But intensely curious.
Friko---Your Magpie is the only one that offers a bit of comic relief. Thank you!
So good to see that, despite your 18-hour days in the garden, you've still got some time for a little fun.
A ruff or wings?

..not a horse, but a ruff. :)
heh heh....loved it. Even exhausted you come up trumps!!
Good one! Did you know that many artists have mis-aligned eyes? Rembrandt, Chagall, Klimt all had 'em. Maybe this is a portrait of an artist.
Terrific-- you too were struck by the disparity of the eyes. xxxj

A ruff... of course! I knew that...didn't I?? ;)

Thanks for the explanation. I was clueless as to the ruff.
